LOGIC INC joined in partnership with TRG Computer Solutions on Saturday March 24, 2001 for the kick off of OS X. Refreshments and demonstrations of OS X, the new Titanium PowerBook and the new Flower Power and Blue Dalmatian iMacs were also part of the day. The Open House attracted many fellow MacAddicts and Apple Canada was demonstrating OS X. John Cresswell, John Fowler and Mike Ciglic the owners of TRG are great supporters of LOGIC INC and have offered their location for future meetings. They have joined our club and provided a venue for us to provide information to their clients about the benefits of joining a User Group.

We registered four new members that day and assisted many people with their questions. TRG is also hosting the new location of our BBS and we are training new sysops to run our First Class BBS. As TRG is located a little north of Toronto, their partnership with us provides a broader range of membership services and will attract more people to the world of User Groups. We had a great day of new friends, everything new Apple and lots of fun! Visit our web site for a link to TRG and what's new at LOGIC INC. www.logicbbs.org

At the April 3 Macintosh Presentation Meeting, Mike Ciglic, one of the three owners of TRG, announced benefits for LOGIC members. As part of partnership, TRG will host LOGIC's First Class BBS and give us a static IP Address. Presenting your LOGIC card when purchasing items at the store will entitle you to a 7 per cent discount on all purchases (excluding Apple computers).

Mike Ciglic talks to LOGIC members about OS X as part of the presentation. Mike, and his partner John Fowler, brought along a Dalmation iMac to demonstrate OS X

It was a good crowd that turned out to see a non-beta of OS X in action and to meet some of the people behind the TRG organization

The Dalmation was put through the paces in both OS X and Classic mode
