What is LOGIC?

LOGIC stands for Loyal Ontario Group Interested in Computers. We are Canada's oldest Apple II and Apple Macintosh user group. We primarily serve the Toronto Macintosh community.

LOGIC was originally named APPLE-CAN, but the name was changed to avoid confusion between Apple Canada (the computer company) and our group. There is no association between LOGIC and the Apple company other than that most of us are users of their products. Users of other types of computers are welcome to join and take part in club activities as we do not limit ourselves to users of specific products.

What do we do?

LOGIC holds regular meetings during the year (September through June) at the North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, located at 200 Eglinton Avenue W, Toronto (map). Meetings are held in a seminar-format, with a variety of topics. Once or twice a year, representatives from Adobe Canada or Apple Canada come to give demonstrations of their products. LOGIC also holds Special Interest Group (SIG) gatherings, which are informal meetings where members can bring their Macs to show off or have fixed.

LOGIC also runs a bulletin board system (BBS), where members and non-members can collaborate, chat, ask questions and discuss outside of the meetings. Anyone can join the BBS - new registrations on the BBS are free.

We also operate an AppleSeeds program.

How do I join?

Members and non-members are welcome at meetings, but non-members are encouraged to join. Come on out, have a look around, and if you like what you see, then join Canada's oldest Mac user group! One annual membership is $50 ($25 for students).
